( it's not to say he hasn't considered their future together. he does, and he doesn't hide his thoughts either. he's made the suggestion he live on his own long enough for Henry to grow comfortable with the idea of his mother marrying. he's found himself quite determined to have a place that is their own, a concept of home he's only started to build recently. he wants to find a way to be a part of her family without overstepping any boundaries — and in a family so complex sometimes that seems easier said than done.

more family than what she already had? It honestly hasn't occurred to him. perhaps it should have before his in laws brought it up, but it hasn't. )

I've never really considered it before. It is a little strange to consider, but not a bad strange.
