Wolves kill to feed, not for the sake of it. I think you'd know if a wolf fed on a human being, especially if you've seen it before.

( and what he knows of her, she does know what that's like. it's a little cruel to remind her, but is he wrong? there's a difference, isn't there? )

( it's his gut instinct, because he trusts Ruby; maybe more than she trusts herself. and he doesn't trust George at all. still, he's not there, it's just instinct, isn't it? it can be hard to think about how disconnected he is from that world, now. )

I asked for control of the Wolf. To be able to change whenever I want. To always keep my humanity when I do.

no matter what is going on back in Storybrooke, I think that is a worthy request.

I'm happy that you think so. It was tough making the decision to leave home and come here but I think it will be for the best.

I felt the same when I left, but if this place can help us improve things in Storybrooke, I think it's worth it. even if it isn't always easy to be here.

Hopefully one day we can all go home again to a better world.

I'm not sure it's that simple. we can affect our version of our world, not many others.

( she can go home to a better world, though all of them? that won't be quite so easy. )

I've heard about some people asking to go home to the same version of the world. I don't think it's impossible as long as whatever you're asking for isn't too at odds. It's something to think about anyway.

it is possible. when I go back to Storybrooke, it'll be Emma's version, not mine.
suffice to say there's not a lot left for me if I went back to the moment I left.

( seeing as he'd died not too long after. he has a heart, now, yet he doesn't have much faith that Regina wouldn't try to get rid of him another way if he was roaming around her cursed town with knowledge she didn't want shared. )

No, I guess there isn't. I hope whatever version of Storybrooke I go back to, you're there too.

if I can ask anything... check for my brother in the woods. he was there, when I was searching for my heart, but I left him behind, and I hate thinking about him there alone.
